The Icelandic Competition Authority prohibited an acquisition by Kaupfélags Skagfirðinga svf. of Gunnars ehf. in the markets for (i) the production and sale of pure mayonnaise to grocery stores, (ii) the production and sale of pure mayonnaise to mass consumers, (iii) the production and sale of other ready-made cold sauces to grocery stores and (iv) the production and sale of other prepared cold sauces to mass consumers.
